A compound set is accomplished by doing two different exercises back to back, with no rest in between, for the same muscle group. A compound set should not be confused with a superset, which in contrast is doing two different exercises back to back for opposing muscle groups.
To all bodybuilders, personal trainers, weightlifters, powerlifters and fitness enthusiast of all levels and walks of life who I have seen and heard on IG mistakenly calling compound sets supersets; with all due respect, make the correction please. We as personal trainers are supposed to be setting an example for those we train and those who follow us. The least we can do is properly inform our audience and followers as we attempt to lead, guide and instruct them on their health and fitness journey.
